Arrange clothes in an easy navigable way (school clothes on red hangers, weekend wear on yellow ones), you give her a choice. "Pick from the red hangers" Mom says while preparing breakfast. There's no reason you can't start this as early as Kindergarten, with a little tweaking to this system (younger ones need help to dress seasonly). Or create a section or a rack in the closet for school clothes only.
