emergency gifts

As the weather gets cooler you may be thinking about Christmas. I wanted to take a minute to remind you to keep an eye out for surprise gifts. You know, when your husband/child, decides one night he needs to bring a gift to work/school for so and so.

Hopefully you have a space in a closet to store a few of these things. Maybe it's the closet where you keep gift wrap and gift bags (how convenient). Here are some ideas:

pillar candles

card games in tins (like Uno, Old Maid, I Spy)

Bud vases

Special teas or cocoa

paperwhite bulbs

reed diffusers & oil

gourmet cooking spices

If you don't like the idea of pre-wrapping them, make sure you have some gift bags that will fit these items well. If you are pre-wrapping them, make sure you have labeled them so you know what's in it!
