Smart ideas:
1. Get your money's worth by selling them online or at a garage sale. Duplicate games or unopened building kits can be saved for regifting at a birthday party.
2. Donate books to local libraries, shelters, and hospitals, especially children's books and if they are free of torn pages, scribbles, and the like.
3. Size things up: Dress-up clothes, too-small Halloween costumes, and outgrown sports equipment are always in demand. Dig them out to resell or donate.
4. Repurpose items!
But don't keep items just because you can't let go. Really do these things, don't just let what you don't need take up space!
